WaveCrest Energy To Help Deliver The “Deutsche Ostsee” LNG Terminal

January 12, 2026

WaveCrest Energy is proud to announce its partnership with Deutsche ReGas to support the delivery of the “Deutsche Ostsee” LNG terminal in the German port of Lubmin. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for WaveCrest Energy as we contribute our marine and technical expertise to one of Europe’s most important new energy infrastructure projects.

The Deutsche Ostsee terminal is designed to strengthen Germany’s gas supply resilience and diversify its access to global LNG markets. As Europe continues to transition its energy systems, ensuring secure and flexible access to natural gas remains a critical priority—particularly during the winter months when demand peaks.

WaveCrest Energy’s role within the project includes providing specialized operational support and ensuring the safe and efficient integration of LNG delivery systems at the terminal. Our team is already on the ground in Lubmin, working alongside Deutsche ReGas to keep the project on schedule and ready for winter commissioning.

“Being part of this effort is both an honor and a responsibility,” said a WaveCrest Energy project spokesperson. “Germany’s energy security is a top priority, and we are committed to helping ensure reliable natural gas supply throughout the winter season.”

The terminal is expected to play a key role in stabilizing Germany’s energy supply and reducing dependency on pipeline imports. Once operational, it will allow for flexible sourcing of LNG from global suppliers and help meet industrial and residential demand during peak months.

WaveCrest Energy looks forward to supporting the project through its final phases and contributing to a more resilient and diversified energy future for Germany.
